Is. 40:9 "You who bring good tidings to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who bring good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah,'Here is your God!'”

Dear Friend,

I am very happy to announce the 10 Days Northfield, 2008!

We are inviting all Christians from less than 1 to 101 to join us in taking 10 Days to devote ourselves to Jesus and to one another.

Last year God said: “Call 120 to pray for the 10 days leading up to Pentecost.” God confirmed His word amazingly by sending 122 people over the course of the 10 days.

Around 15 of us prayed and stayed for the entire 10 days (get the highlights) experiencing the presence of God and the unity of the Spirit in fresh and powerful ways.

As Dave McCahon and I prayed and planned for 2008, we sensed God saying two things:

First of all, He is telling us to grow. We want to grow in numbers and also in depth and maturity this year. In 2008, we are hoping to have 120 who “pray and stay” for the entire 10 days, as well as many more who come and go while we are there. We need both kinds, the "pray and stay” crowd maintains community and continuity; those who come and go often bring fresh energy to the group.

Second, we sensed that we were to extend a special invitation to Pastors and Christian leaders. If you are in Christian leadership, we joyfully invite you to join us (a special invitation to pastors and Christian leaders.)

We will cap off this year's 10 Days of Prayer with our own Global Day of Prayer celebration at Northfield (pending Northfield's approval.) Dave is planning a “Prayer Fair” complete with tents, children’s activities, and food. We hope to be joined in this Global Day of Prayer celebration by the Church of the Pioneer Valley and Western Massachusetts.

Please use the links above on the right to examine our history and catch our vision. We hope you will be convinced as we are that this is a prayer meeting called by God to advance His purposes on the earth. Please prayerfully consider joining us at historic Northfield for the 10 Days of Prayer 2008 and be a part of the "Praylude" to what God is doing in New England and around the world.

In Holy Expectations,

Jonathan Friz and David McCahon
